How to Apply for a Passport in India

1. Register Online: Visit the Passport Seva Online Portal and register.
2. Fill Application Form: Log in and fill the online application form.
3. Pay Fee Online: Make the required payment through the available online modes.
4. Schedule Appointment: Book an appointment at a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK). Locate PSK/POPSK.
5. Visit PSK/POPSK: Visit the scheduled PSK/POPSK with original documents and self-attested photocopies.
6. Police Verification: Police verification may be initiated before or after the passport is issued, depending on the case.
